Your cats purr has health benefits to you

catHOUSTON, TX – Chalk-up a few points for cat lovers!

According to deathandtaxesmag.com, the frequency of a cat’s purr can be linked with all kinds of positive health effects. The say petting the little critters can lower stress, cat owners are 40% less likely to have a heart attack, purr vibrations can help heal infections, soft tissue conditions, bone troubles, remedy shortness of breath and even lower blood pressure. And you don’t even need a prescription.

To be clear, it’s a little hard to tell where the research originated (and it doesn’t seem to account for the occasional hiss, scratch or snub). It makes us wonder whether Garfield and Friends filed the report.
