HOUSTON, TX – There can be a lot of frustrating things about trying to hail a cab. The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau wants to make sure their cabbies are ready come February 17, 2013.

Oh, haven’t you heard?! The NBA All-Star game is taking place right here in Houston at the Toyota Center. So, officials held a taxi rally to get their cabbies ready; handing out lunches and information for all Houston taxi drivers. They want to make sure the taxi drivers know of all events going on that weekend so they can get to and from that location with no problem.

It’s not just the Houston taxi business that’s going to boom. The city is expected to feel an economic impact of $100 million through the big weekend.
