Suspect shot by DPS trooper during high speed chase

A motorcycle driver with an expired license decided he didn’t want to go to jail early Sunday morning. So when Department of Public Safety troopers tried to pull him over for a routine traffic stop, he took off.

Troopers chased him while he drove at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour for twenty minutes.

The crazy ride finally came to an end at the intersection of South Post Oak and Brookston.

The driver was also hit in the leg and taken to the hospital in stable condition. The Texas Rangers are now investigating the shooting.

We hope the motorcycle driver has learned his lesson. You can run but you can’t hide.
