President Obama’s busy week

President Barack Obama has been all kinds of busy these past few days.

With the fiscal cliff looming, House Speaker John Boehner has agreed to raise income tax rates for people who earn more than one million dollars a year.

President Obama wants rates raised for those who make more than $250,000 a year, so the negotiations continue.

A meeting scheduled this Sunday in Maine to talk work on the negotiations was cancelled so the President could meet with the families affected by the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut and attend a vigil for the victims.

When he does get back to business, President Obama is expected to nominate Massachusetts Senator John Kerry for Secretary of State.

If the senate confirms the nomination, Senator Kerry will replace Hillary Clinton who has announced plans to step down.
