Who knew that under the badge and all that leather there was a shoe saint. The situation was a homeless man sitting in freezing Time Square, shoeless. His bare feet exposed to the harsh streets.

NYPD Officer Lawrence Deprimo just wasn’t willing to overlook it.

The officer went into a Sketchers store nearby, and picked up a pair of size 12 boots.

The heart warming exchange was caught by a tourist from Arizona.

She sent the picture to the NYPD who then, posted it on Facebook , and well, the rest is cyber history!

In a city full of people on the go, it’s not everyday someone stops to pay it forward.
