Apple to pay $21M for using a trademarked design

ZURICH, SWITZERLAND – Apple used a trademarked design for their latest clock app, and the company they short-changed, got ‘ticked’ off.  Switzerland’s SBB got $21 million in a settlement.

They may keep the doctor away, but Apple still needs a lawyer. The tech giant sharked a trademarked design for their latest clock app, and the company they short-changed, got ‘ticked’ off.

SBB owns this iconic display. They are a railway operator in Switzerland.

Sure, the Swiss are known for neutrality, but there’s nothing wishy-washy here. It took a $21 million settlement, but everything’s okay now. SBB got a cool boost and relatively speaking, Apple was fined a cup of coffee.

So let’s toast to this:  every once in a while, the guys at the top can fudge up and then admit they’re wrong. It’s about “time!”
